1. What Are the Dimensions of Funky Bunk Beds?

We’re asked about bed dimensions almost daily. To make life easier, we include detailed measurements in the last image on every product listing, as well as in the product description itself. Despite that, we understand that dimensions can easily be missed when you’re busy comparing options.

Typical bed dimensions are:
- Length: 96 inches (standard)
- Width: 58 inches (for a full double) or 52 inches (for a small double)

2. Can I Request Bespoke Changes to My Funky Bunk Bed?

Yes, absolutely. We offer bespoke adjustments to help make your new bed fit perfectly into your home.

Some examples of custom changes include:

– Shortening the length: We can make the steps narrower than our standard 46cm width, as narrow as 30cm if needed. Alternatively, we can build the frame to suit a smaller mattress size.

– Higher top rails: If you’d like extra security, we can lower the top base, which increases the height of the top rail. The top rail normally stands at 46cm, designed to comply with UK safety standards when used with a mattress up to 20cm thick. A 5ft or taller bed height will be needed for this adjustment.

– Mattresses for bespoke beds: We can also supply custom-sized mattresses through our website. Pricing is straightforward and mattresses can be added to your basket during checkout.

Good to know –There’s no extra charge for these frame adjustments, it’s all part of making sure your bed fits your space and needs properly.

3. How Do I Pay the Deposit?

When ordering through our website, there’s a simple option to pay a deposit of just £50. This option appears as a checkbox on the product page. It’s easy to miss if you’re rushing through, but it’s definitely there.

We’re currently working on making the deposit option even clearer at checkout based on customer feedback.

Once the deposit is paid, your order is secured, and the final balance isn’t due until delivery.

4. Can I Buy a Funky Bunk Bed on Finance?

Yes — we offer finance through Snap Finance.

Here’s how it currently works:
- You apply through our website.
- After your application, we call you to confirm your order, take a small deposit (£15), and complete the setup over the phone.
We’re looking at making this even easier by allowing a full checkout through Snap Finance online, so watch this space.

If you prefer, we also offer payment plans directly, allowing you to pay in instalments up to the delivery date. This option gives you flexibility without the need for a finance agreement.

5. What Mattress Size Do I Need?

Our beds are built around the standard UK single mattress size by default.

However, if you’re ordering a small double, full double, or even a completely bespoke-sized bed, we can supply matching mattresses. You’ll find mattress options clearly priced on our website, ready to add to your basket.

We offer both standard and custom mattress sizes to suit every order.

Important mattress note: Maximum mattress depth for safety purposes is 7 inches (roughly 18cm). This ensures the safety rails remain at the correct height according to UK standards.

6. Are Funky Bunk Beds Strong Enough for Adults?

We’re often asked if our beds are only suitable for children. The answer is: our beds can support adults too.

Each bunk is tested for a maximum user weight of 75kg (around 11 stone 8 pounds). This makes our beds suitable not just for children and teenagers, but also for most adults.

Many of our customers buy beds for guest rooms, student accommodation, or even holiday lets where adult guests may be sleeping on the top or bottom bunks.

7. How Do I Pay the Remaining Balance?

Final payment is due on or before delivery day. You can choose to pay by:
